As a nineteen-year-old soldier serving in a segregated unit of the U.S. Army, Leon Bass participated in the liberation of Buchenwald concentration camp in 1945. He will speak in the Campus Center Ballroom at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 16, 2008 in conjunction with the exhibit Anne Frank: A History for Today on display in Ingram Library September 7-29. The exhibit was secured through the Georgia Commission on the Holocaust.
